The short version. AerioTV does not collect your personal data. There is no AerioTV account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you configure, including your playlists, server addresses, and login credentials, stays on your device and is sent only to the servers you choose. We have no servers of our own that receive your data.
This policy describes how the AerioTV applications ("AerioTV," "the app," "we," "us") handle information. AerioTV is an IPTV player that connects to media sources you supply, such as a Dispatcharr server, an Xtream Codes portal, or an M3U playlist with an XMLTV electronic program guide. AerioTV is not affiliated with, and does not provide, any streaming content or subscription. You are responsible for the sources you add.
To use AerioTV you enter connection details for your own media sources. Depending on your setup, this may include:
This information is stored locally on your device so the app can operate. It is not transmitted to us, because we do not operate a backend that receives it. On Android, stored credentials are encrypted at rest on the device.
AerioTV keeps the following on the device only:
None of this is uploaded to us or to any third party for our benefit.
AerioTV connects directly from your device to the following, and only as needed to function:
These connections are made straight from your device to those services. AerioTV does not route your traffic through any intermediary owned by us.
AerioTV requests only the permissions needed to play media:
These permissions are used solely to operate the app and are not used to gather information about you.
When you use features that rely on TMDB, YouTube and Google, or content from your own providers, those parties handle your requests under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. AerioTV does not control and is not responsible for the practices of services you connect to.
AerioTV is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app collects no personal information for us to hold.
Because your data lives on your device, you control it. You can remove sources, clear the app's cache, or reset the app from within its settings. Uninstalling AerioTV removes the app's locally stored configuration, credentials, and cache from that device. Data held by your own media provider, TMDB, or Google is managed by those services.
AerioTV stores your configuration locally and, on Android, encrypts stored credentials at rest. Connections to your sources use whatever transport your server supports. Because AerioTV talks directly to services you choose, keep your source credentials private and prefer secure (HTTPS) endpoints where your provider offers them.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Continued use of AerioTV after an update means you accept the revised policy.
